Tauros Garage

New piece of terrain built from a cardboard box, cross-stitching mesh, plastic strips and some bits. I think it looks like a garage or shop for a few Tauros assault vehicles so I gave it a paint scheme to be similar to the drop troops and fit in with either desert or urban terrain.

The walls looked really plain so I gave it a little more weathering than I initially planned. It looks beat up for a military installation, maybe more like a run down civilian building, but I figure the environment on Xhorik Prime is pretty harsh and most things would be rusted, corroded and dirty.

  1. Looks great, not overly weathered at all. It will fit in fine with the rest of the battlefield terrain. Gotta love the boxes stacked up against the wall, helps add those little details that suck you in. It should function as a Tauros spawner, allowing you to place a new one outside the door when one is destroyed

    1. Thanks. I glued the crates and cinder blocks directly to the wall to add some scale detail and make it look less like a painted box with windows, but I wanted to leave off a base so it would fit seamlessly on either desert or urban tables.
We should definitely come up with some cool special rule for it, like you suggested with continuous spawning. Or first one to claim/occupy the building gets 1 or 2 Tauros at the start of the next turn. Nothing too game-changing since the Tauros are useless anyway, but just to add some excitement (and give an excuse to have more Tauros on the battlefield!). More terrain unique rules will make the different battlefields more different and flavorful.

  2. Interesting. If the Nids capture the garage, they should get a VP every turn until the imperials recapture it to represent the valuable resources assimilated.

  3. I was wowed by the cinder blocks on the side of the garage! That's too cool.
